Brazil man dies in Putnam motorcycle crash

A Brazil man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash.

Benjamin Courtney, 28, was killed when he wrecked his motorcycle shortly after midnight on County Road 500 East in Marion Township.

The incident was investigated by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and the Putnam County Coroner’s Office, along with accident reconstruction by the Indiana State Police..

Due to the nature of the accident, the invesigation was ongoing as of Monday, with Sgt. Riley Houghton continuing to work on his investigation, as well as the ISP reconstructionists.
