Edward ‘Joe’ Joseph Staub Jr.

Edward “Joe” Joseph Staub Jr., 79, Brazil, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019 at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil.

He was born on Sept. 30, 1939 in Beech Grove to the late Edward J. and Thelma A. (Hall) Staub.

Joe graduated from Greencastle High School, and served his country in the United States Army.

After finishing his apprenticeship, he worked as a pipe fitter for the Local 157, and was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church, and St. Paul’s in Danville, Ill.

In his free time, Joe enjoyed working with his hands and tools, always offering to help when someone had a problem. He enjoyed traveling and watching old westerns, but mostly spending time with his family.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bob Taylor.

Survivors include wife Karen Staub of Brazil; sons Raymond (Mary) Staub of Brazil and Jerry (Jill) Staub of Bluffton, S.C.; daughters Amanda Staub of Danville, Ill. and Mary (Patrick) Feild of Terre Haute; brother Jimmy (Nancy) Staub of Sevierville, Tenn.; sisters Joan Taylor of Greencastle and Janet Winn of Cincinnati and grandchildren Vincent Staub, Jacob Staub, Jack Staub, Aurora Feild and Dahlia Feild.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Brazil with Father John Hollowell officiating.

The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil.
