Russellers’ Roundup set for Sept. 7, 8 at community center
The annual Russellers’ Roundup celebration is scheduled the weekend of Sept. 7-8.
All events will be at the Russellville Community Center, with breakfast served both mornings from 8-10:30 a.m. featuring Barb’s homemade cinnamon rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits and scrambled eggs.
Lunch/dinner will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Fish, tenderloin, kettle cooked ham and beans with cornbread, coney dogs, hot dogs, sloppy joes, macaroni salad, potato salad, slaw, chips, nachos, French fries, watermelon, sliced tomatoes, homemade pies and a variety of drinks will all be served.

New this year will be a kids corner with snow cones, cotton candy, face painting, making friendship bracelets and games.
All are invited to roller skate from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $3 and skates will be provided.
Registration for a mini (one and four-cylinder) tractor pull will be on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. The tractor pull begins at noon behind the Community Center. For questions about the pull, contact Tom Howell at 866-0383.
Also in the gym on Saturday will be the baby, Jr. Little Miss and Mr. and Little Miss and Mr. contests. These are set to begin at 1 p.m. Interested persons should contact Chasity Goss at 918-8821 to register.
Following the contests, Fonda, a gospel and country-western singer, will be performing in the gym from 3- 4:30 p.m. Entertainment is free to the public.
The final event for Saturday will be a corn hole tournament. The cost is $10 per team. Registration is at 5:30 p.m. with the tournament starting at 6 p.m. Contact Jim McGaughey at 307-6078 with questions about the tournament.
A church service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m.
Members of the North Putnam Band will be giving a concert starting at 1:30 p.m.
Mike Simpson will also have his tractors to view during the Roundup on both Saturday and Sunday.
The Russellers’ Roundup is a fundraiser for the Russellville Community Center.
