Nature park entrance to close Monday

The road to the DePauw Nature Park off of Walnut Street will be closed to public traffic beginning Monday, Sept. 9 for approximately two weeks.

During that time, crews will work to install a culvert near the Duke Energy substation.

The nature park will still be accessible by foot from the DePauw Campus Farm area, as well as the Prindle Institute parking lot.

Contractors were set to begin staging materials on the east side of the Nature Park road on Friday in preparation for this work.

University officials said they apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation while this necessary work is completed.
