Fighting Sepsis

In an effort to raise awareness about sepsis, Mayor Bill Dory signs a proclamation declaring Sept. 13 as Sepsis Awareness Day in Greencastle. Chief Executive Dennis Weatherford sits beside him. The proclamation stated the hospital and other organizations were joining together to highlight the impact and treatment of the deadly condition, which occurs when the body’s response to infection-fighting chemicals is off-balance and leads to organ damage.
