Helping Hand

A program not only benefitting local seniors, but largely staffed by local seniors, the Gleaners Senior Mobile Pantry visits the Greencastle National Guard Armory each month. On Thursday, volunteer Butch Hacker chats with a woman as she looks through the cucumbers among this month’s offerings. Volunteers like Hacker make it possible for Gleaners to serve 140-150 seniors on the second Thursday morning of each month at the Armory. Learn more about the program in the upcoming edition of “Senior Life Odyssey,” due for publication in the Banner Graphic next week.
