Self-defense class for women set Oct. 12 at PCH

On Saturday, Oct. 12, the Putnam County Hospital will host Lt. Tom Moore from the Plainfield Police Academy from 9-11 a.m. and from 11-1 p.m.

Moore, a certified tactical instructor, will help the attendees learn more about awareness skills and practicing escapes, as well as the ins and outs of protecting one’s self.

The course will take place at the Putnam County Hospital in the third floor classrooms. The cost is $20.

Refreshments will be provided, but bring plenty of water to stay hydrated during the hands-on segment.
