Police have identified a suspect in three recent armed robberies in three western Indiana counties.

Based on surveillance footage, police believe the man to be 33-year-old Devin D. Ewoldt, whose last known address was Crawfordsville.

The Lebanon Police Department made the announcement Sunday evening on behalf of the Greencastle Police Department and Owen County Sheriff’s Department.

The first robbery took place on Monday, Sept. 23 at the Dollar General store in Gosport.

Then on Saturday, Sept. 28, the case came on the radar in Putnam County when Ewoldt allegedly robbed the Greencastle Pizza King on Bloomington Street.

Later that evening, a suspect matching the same description as as the other robbers and wearing the exact same clothes as he had in the Greencastle incident robbed a Dollar General Store in Lebanon.

The suspect in each incident was captured on video security systems. With the help of the public, the suspect was quickly identified as Ewoldt.

Police are continuing their search for Ewoldt as of Monday morning. He is also wanted on unrelated warrants in Boone and Montgomery counties.

Ewoldt was last seen driving a white 2004 Nissan Xterra with temporary license plate K709963. The suspect held up all three businesses with a handgun, so Ewoldt is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Devin Ewoldt is asked to call 911. Do not try to apprehend or approach him. Detectives with the Greencastle Police Department can be reached at 653-3155.

Detectives with the Lebanon Police Department can be reached at 765-482-8836 or 765-482-1412, option 8. Detectives with the Owen County Sheriff’s Department can be reached at 821-829-4874, extension 1.
