The Cataract Volunteer Fire Department will host the 51st-annual Cataract Bean Dinner Festival from Oct. 4-6.

The main event will be located between the Cataract General Store and the Cataract Schoolhouse in Spencer. The festival will also go down High Ridge Road.

The fire department will begin serving at 4 p.m. and go through 8 p.m. on Friday. CVFD will start serving at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 6 p.m on Saturday and Sunday.

Approximately 800 pounds of ham and beans will be served during the festival, along with Polish sausages, wood-fired pizza, kettle corn, elephant ears, hot dogs and sloppy joes. Tailgaters BBQ out of Spencer and Jiffy Treet out of Bloomington will also offer their wares.

Whack-a-cars, drawings and gun/chainsaw raffles are also on tap, in addition to many vendors who will sell various types of goods.

Both spaces for the event cost $20.
