Fitting Right In

Youngsters were able to tap into their inner firefighter Thursday evening during the Greencastle Fire Department’s annual open house at the station. With their helmets on and plenty of enthusiasm, five-year-old Samuel Brantley (left) and six-year-old Aidyn take charge of GFD’s 1928 Studebaker fire truck. The event coincided with Fire Prevention Week, with this year’s campaign being “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape.”
