County Jail

Six people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 7:55 p.m. Rebekah Faith Netherton, 18, Roachdale, was taken into custody for fraud, theft and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.

• At 7:30 p.m. Camron Blake Pacheco, 18, homeless, was housed at the jail for fraud, theft and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle.

• At 2:06 p.m. Mark R. Hamm, 49, Roachdale, was lodged at the jail for disorderly conduct.

Tuesday

• At 9:23 p.m. Michael James Vance, 29, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 4:40 p.m. Shiela Diane Power, 49, Poland, was housed at the jail for sexual misconduct with an inmate and official misconduct.

• At 10:09 a.m. Wayne Allen Adams, 46, Indianapolis, was booked in fort possession of methamphetamine, theft and possession of marijuana.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 2:43 p.m. Wednesday, Arthur Rose, 45, Greencastle, was arrested at an Avenue E residence by Officer Nick Eastham.

Arrested on a Putnam County warrant on the original charges of battery resulting in bodily injury to a person under 14 and domestic battery to a person less than 14, Rose was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

One recent traffic citation was issued by city officers.

• At 7:58 p.m. Sunday, Caroline Horn, 19, Reelsville, was ticketed by Officer Elsiana Crosby.

Stopped on Washington Street near Jackson Street, Horn was cited for disregarding a traffic control device.

Indiana State Police

State troopers from the Putnamville Post made one recent arrest in Putnam County.

• Late Wednesday night, Trooper Kyle Hall stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the 40-mile marker of Interstate 70.

During the course of the stop, Hall had reason to believe that 58-year-old Phillip Jon Morgan of Cloverdale was under the influence. However, Morgan refused to submit to a certified chemical test.

Morgan was booked in the Putnam County Jail for driving while intoxicated at 12:35 a.m. Thursday.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County Deputies investigated two recent property-damage crashes.

• At 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sandra Green, 69, Centerpoint, was eastbound on U.S. 40 near the State Road 243 intersection in a 2018 Mazda CX5 when she hit a deer.

The vehicle was towed. Deputy Tanner Brown estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.

• At 2:38 p.m. on Sunday, Kirsten Bridges, 58, Greencastle, was westbound on the Interstate 70 off-ramp at the yield sign at U.S. 231 in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. Bridges told Deputy Brown she was stopped, waiting to turn right onto northbound 231 when she was rear-ended by another vehicle.

Alexis Morin, 25, Camby, told Brown she was also westbound on the off-ramp in a 2010 Ford Taurus. She said she was looking at the northbound traffic as she slowed down and that’s when she hit Bridges’ vehicle.

Morin reported no injuries. Bridges said the right side of her head hurt but she refused medical aid. She said she would river herself to the hospital.

Brown estimated damage at $1,000-$2,500.
