Chocolate Trail to benefit Habitat for Humanity

In an effort to raise funds to complete a new project, Putnam County Habitat for Humanity will hold its first Chocolate Trail event on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants will have the opportunity to get their share of chocolate treats while also visiting area businesses and organizations to support Habitat’s initiatives.

Stops will include 3G Bowl and Bar & Grill, Almost Home, Black Lumber Co., Downhome Real Estate & Auction, Hickory Creek at Sunset, F.C. Tucker/Schneider Realty, Holiday Inn Express, Glen Furr Agency, Jack’s Trash Service, Krambo’s Kustom Kolors, Marcy’s Jewelry & Repair, McDonald’s of Greencastle and Cloverdale, New Moon Divination, Odd Fellows Printing & Graphics, Prime Real Estate Group, Putnam County Habitat for Humanity, the Putnam Inn, Ruoff Home Mortgage, Scoops Ice Cream Parlor, Starbucks, TapHouse Burgers, Teachers Credit Union and WPW Firearms.

The event is sponsored by 3G Bowl and Bar & Grill, First National Bank of Cloverdale, Subway of Greencastle and Cloverdale, Shuee’s Furniture and Mattress of Greencastle and Brazil, the Putnam County Hospital, Abstract & Title and Ruoff Home Mortgage of Greencastle.

Tickets for the event cost $25 for adults (13 years old and older) and $15 for children (12 and under). They can be purchased online through the organization’s Facebook page. Select “Events” from the left side of the page, choose a ticket quantity then click “Get Tickets” and follow the payment instructions.

Tickets may also be purchased with either cash or a check at the Habitat office located at 620 Tennessee St. next to Comprehensive Services.

The proceeds will go toward continuing efforts to build a home for a family in Greencastle.
