Registration set for park’s Breakfast with Grinch event

Monday, November 11, 2019

With sell-out events to his credit the past two years, The Grinch is not only ready for Christmas but all set for his annual visit to the Putnam Inn for the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department’s Breakfast with the Grinch.

While he doesn’t mean to be all Grinch-like in advance, space requires The Grinch to limit his exposure to the first 40 people who register for the Saturday, Dec. 14 breakfast.

The program is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. at Putnam Inn, 400 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Cost of the event is $15 per person. Registration can be done online at www.greencastleparks.com. Registration forms are also available at City Hall or the park office.

Last year’s sell-out included a number of attendees from out-of-town places like Danville, Avon, Plainfield and Brownsburg, so park officials urge local residents interested in The Grinch event to sign up early if they want to be assured of a spot.

Youngsters will listen to the Dr. Seuss story “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” before enjoying a breakfast of green eggs and ham.

Photos and crafts are also planned, along with a Cindy Lou Who or Max costume contest.

Pre-registration is required and a registered adult must accompany a child.
