Relay for Life callout event set Thursday

Anyone interested in taking part in the 2020 Putnam County and DePauw Relay for Life is invited to a callout meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 6:30-8 p.m.

The event will take place in the Kiwanis Room of the Putnam County Public Library.

The Relay for Life Event Leadership Team is excited about the coming year’s event but is needing community and campus participation to make the event as successful as possible.

Relay for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, is the biggest nationwide fundraiser and event centered around battling cancer.

Cancer has devastated so many lives both directly and indirectly and Relay for Life is a great way to fight back. Cancer is no small epidemic and because of this organizers want as many people take part as possible.

From those who participate in Relay for Life every year to those who have never take part, organizers want to see as many interested people as possible at Thursday’s meeting.
