Celebrating a new start for both the organization and a Putnam County family, members of Putnam County Habitat for Humanity came together with the Hubbard-Hoagland family to break ground on a new home located on Albin Pond Road a week ago. Present for the groundbreaking are (from left) Executive Director David L. English, volunteer Bonnie Lowry, Marci Hoagland, Olivia Hubbard with Henry Hubbard, board member Chris Skillern, Chase Hubbard (holding Charlotte Hubbard), board member Jake Widner, Pastor Paul Wiseheart of First Baptist Church, board president Scott Dunbar, construction manager Lonnie Hubbard, Lynda Dunbar, board treasurer Samantha Cooper and realtor Bob Kienzynski (holding Edward O’Brocki). Both Chase and Olivia expressed excitement about this new project which will benefit them, and said they were looking forward to progress on the home in the coming months. “We feel very blessed, and we want to express our gratitude and our thankfulness to the community,” Hubbard said. “It will afford our children a head start in life.”
