Indiana State Police

Indiana State Police made one recent local arrest.

• On Thursday evening, Trooper James Crisp arrested a Quincy man for driving while intoxicated.

Hugh R. Brock, 53, was stopped at County Road 1000 South and County Road 550 East for not wearing a seat belt and for a false and fictitious registration.

Further investigation by Crisp revealed that Brock had a blood alcohol content of .12 percent.

Brock was booked in the Putnam County Jail at 9:47 p.m.

County Jail

One additional person was booked in the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

• At 11:20 a.m. Rebecca A. Tanksley, 37, Clayton, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and on a Hendricks County warrant.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to four recent dispatches:

• At midnight on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to the Inn at DePauw for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:04 and determined the alarm was due to burnt popcorn. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 12:11 a.m.

• At 12:08 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched to 330 Greenwood Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:15 but could not find a cause for the alarm after conducting an investigation. The alarm was then reset. GFD left at 12:45 a.m.

• At 8:22 a.m. on Wednesday, GFD was dispatched on a mutual aid call with the Reelsville Fire Department for a residence fire. Units arrived on the scene at 8:41 and assisted with extinguishing the fire, as well as with salvage and overhaul. GFD went back into service at 11:57 a.m.

• At 12:39 p.m. on Wednesday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Columbia and Market streets. Units arrived at 12:42 and performed radiator fluid cleanup. GFD went back into service at 1:20 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed nine medical assists, had three disregards and had one run with no incident found during this time.
