Chamber seeks Citizen, Non-Profit of the Year nominees

Sunday, December 29, 2019

The deadline to nominate an individual for the annual Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award is Tuesday, Jan. 14.

The only requirement for the nominee is that he or she be a resident of Putnam County, Chamber Executive Director Brian Cox said.

The Chamber wants to take some time at its Jan. 25 Annual Dinner to recognize groups and people who work to help make the community a better place.

Along with 2019 Citizen of the Year succeeding last year’s winner, Ken Eitel, the Chamber will also be looking for nominations for a Non-Profit of the Year award.

Residents should supply a one-page letter on why their nominee should win one of these awards and how they have helped the community.

To nominate someone or a group or organization, persons can email briancox@gogreencastle.com or mail or drop off a nomination at the Chamber office, 2 S. Jackson St., Greencastle IN 46135. Or go to gogreencastle.com and click the nomination button for Citizen of the Year.

Anyone with questions may call 653-4517. All nominations must be turned in by Jan. 14.

The Chamber will also be awarding both the Large Business and Small Business of the Year awards on Jan. 25.
