Christmas trees will be picked up within city beginning Jan. 6

Friday, January 3, 2020

The City of Greencastle’s Department of Public Works will pick up Christmas trees for recycling starting Monday, Jan. 6 and running through Friday, Jan. 17.

City residents are asked to place trees on the lawn next to the curb. Trees should be free of lights, wires, decorations and plastic bags.

In the event of snow or ice, pick-up may be delayed while crews plow snow.

City and county residents can also recycle their trees at the Yard Waste Site at 2363 S. County Road 250 West.

The site will be open from Jan. 25 during normal business hours and on Saturdays.

Trees should be free of lights, wires, decoration, and plastic bags.
