Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 8:47 a.m. on Thursday, Sean M. Branigan, 45, Cloverdale, was in the passing lane of westbound Interstate 70 near the 47-mile marker in a 2014 Toyota Tundra. Jacob B. Branigan told Deputy Brian Helmer there were vehicles behind him close to his rear bumper so he was attempting to get back into the right lane. However, he misjudged the lane change and ran into the trailer Brown was pulling.

Neither driver was injured. Brown’s truck was towed.

Helmer estimated damage at $10,000-$25,000.
