Jack Smith elected vice president of IAPI

Jack Smith has been elected as vice president of the Indiana Association of Professional Investigators (IAPI) after his two-year elected position as a board member.

Smith’s career took him to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, including two years working in criminal identification. He then worked several years with the Castleton Police Department until the town was disincorporated in 1992.

Smith has accumulated many hours of volunteer time in Putnam County as the assistant chief deputy for the Putnam County Community Emergency Response Team, with the Clinton Township Volunteer Fire Department and as an active member of the Fillmore Police Department as a reserve deputy marshal.

Smith was a member of the South Putnam Quarterback Club for eight years as vice president, and to participate in many fundraising projects to assist the team with equipment and supplies.

Smith opened Smith & Smith Investigations in 2009 and joined the Indiana Association of Professional Investigators the same year.

During his time with the association, Smith has served on its legislative committee and board of directors prior to being elected the IAPI’s vice president.
