False Alarm in Cloverdale

With other trucks already departing the Cloverdale Holiday Inn Express Thursday night, crews from the Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department remain on the scene to make sure there are no further issues. A box alarm shortly after 9 p.m. turned out to be only a malfunctioning water heater. That was unclear early in the incident, as building evacuation began, with reports indicating there was smoke in the laundry room. However, firefighters found no flames and little, if any, smoke.
