Guardian Firearms Academy to present church safety event

Friday, January 31, 2020

With the recent and unfortunate evil acts of violence in public places including houses of worship, Guardian Firearms Academy and its owner Jerrod Baugh will be conducting an open discussion about building a church safety team and best practices.

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, Baugh will bring to the conversation his experiences having organized and trained a safety team for his church congregation five years ago. He will also draw upon information obtained from many training events he has attended.

Discussion will center on how to best prepare to mitigate these terrible events.

The event is open to those individuals representing congregations and churches in Putnam County and neighboring areas. Organizers ask that each participants from each organization be limited to three.

An RSVP email is required from each organization to questions@guardianfa.com with the number of members planning to attend and organization represented.

The event is free and will be held at the Putnam County Dispatch and Emergency Operations Center, 1600 W. CR 225 South, Greencastle.
