Thursday, February 6, 2020

South Putnam alumni will celebrate their 50-year anniversary banquet on Saturday, April 18 in the South Putnam High School cafetorium.

The classes of 1970 (50 years), 1980 (40 years) and 1995 (25 years) will be recognized along with a presentation by a representative of each class.

This will be followed by the induction of the alumni hall of fame recipient(s) and the teacher/administrator hall of fame winner(s) soon to be selected by a Facebook vote online provided by 1970 graduate Sally Hammond.

The social hour will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner scheduled for 6 p.m. The dinner is open to all alumni for $25 and to all others for $20 a plate. Special table prices (seating eight) will be available for $175.

Rounding out the night sponsored by the South Putnam Community Education Foundation will be their presentation of this year’s teacher grant and student scholarships. One scholarship will be provided by the foundation, and another will be given by the SP Quarterback Club.

Reservations are due by April 4, and may be made in returning the invitation received from Anita Ferrand via email or mail, or by going to the Eventbrite.com website to make them using a credit card. Walk-ins paying at the door will also be accepted.

Interested persons may sign in to the South Putnam alumni page for more information.
