Slip, Slidin’ Away

A dusting of snow and a glaze of ice overnight made traveling a little dicey in Putnam County Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Putnam County deputies reported working multiple slide-offs on Manhattan Road and around Heritage Lake. The winter weather intensified to the north, causing North Putnam Schools to close for the day. Steady light snow is expected today with a half-inch to one-inch accumulation possible locally. Snow is also likely Saturday with amounts ranging from a dusting to two inches in the central Indiana area.
