City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to three recent dispatches:

• At 7:35 a.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to 1 E. Olive St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 7:36 and were advised by maintenance that the alarm was caused by a sprinkler head being broken. GFD left at 7:55 a.m.

• At 10:44 p.m. on Thursday, GFD responded to mutual aid fire in Cloverdale. Units arrived on the scene at 11 p.m. to assist with extinguishing a working barn fire. GFD was released from the scene at 12:23 a.m. Friday morning.

• At 9:45 a.m. on Friday, GFD responded to a motor vehicle accident with minor injuries on County Road 200 West. Units arrived on the scene at 9:51 and assisted with patient care. GFD went back into service at 10:08 a.m.

Additionally, GFD performed three recent medical assists.
