100 Years and Counting

Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the League of Women Voters as well as the recent 65th anniversary of the local chapter of the LWV, Mayor Bill Dory signs a proclamation recognizing Feb. 16-22 as League of Women Voters Week in Greencastle. Following the proclamation, Pejril, Langdon and Dunbar, the city’s three current female elected officials, spoke about their positions and plans for the future. The League of Women Voters was founded on Feb. 14, 1920, while the local chapter was formed in 1954.
