Candie (Nelson) Branneman

Candie (Nelson) Branneman, 57, of Reelsville, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020 surrounded by her family and friends after a battle with cancer.

Candie was born on March 28, 1962 to Gerald and Bev Nelson.

Candie graduated in 1981 from Greencastle High School.

She worked at IAC for the past several years.

She married the love of her life, Donald Branneman, in 2016.

In addition to her parents and husband, Candie is survived by her son, Steven Pleake; her grandkids, Brody, Bryce, Reagan and Raylee Pleake; Don’s son, Samuel Branneman; Don’s grandkids, Sophia Branneman, Shelby-Jo Branneman and Alani Schell; her sisters, Cristie (Greg) Heberle and Susan (Steve) Clark; and her brother-in-law, Curt Wilderman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Candie was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy (Nelson) Wilderman; nephew, Brain Wayne Strother; and both sets of grandparents.

A celebration life will be held at Abundant Life Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating.
