An evening of food, fun and family entertainment is just around the corner with the first monthly meeting of the Community Supper Club.

The first Supper Club event will take place at Bridges Craft Pizza & Wine Bar on the M2 side, 21 N. Indiana St., Greenastle, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Tickets are $5, while children 17 and under eat free.

Supper Club events will be held once a month with the aim to reduce food insecurity in Putnam County by providing residents with meals that are healthy and affordable.

The event will also feature live music from Him and Her.

The United Way of Putnam County is partnering with Bridges Craft Pizza and Purdue Extension to present the event.

Supper Club guests will receive a three-course dinner that has been specially curated by the Bridges team of chefs. The monthly menu is created with three requirements in mind: Each meal must be nutritious, all ingredients should be available in Putnam County and the recipe can easily be replicated in a home kitchen.

Guests will be provided with each meal’s recipe, as well as resources to local community gardens and wellness programs.

Any family or individual interested in attending the Thursday dinner must first register for the event by visiting www.unitedwayofputnamcounty.org/supperclub or by calling the United Way office at 653-5638.
