County Jail

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Monday

• At 10:56 p.m. Jesse L. Monnett, 29, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

• At 10:25 a.m. Dylan F. Silvers, 27, Bloomfield, was booked in for driving with a suspended license with a prior conviction.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 7:55 a.m. on Thursday, Tina Watkins, 56, Greencastle, was southbound on County Road 300 West in a 2016 Toyota RAV4 when she hit a deer.

Deputy Kyle Lee estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000. The vehicle was towed.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent dispatch:

• At 5:37 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 7 E. Larabee St. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:40 and were advised that the alarm had been activated due to welding. GFD went back into service at 5:43 p.m.

Additionally, GFD recently performed three medical assists and had one disregard.
