Youth Philanthropy Night set March 4 at Almost Home

The Putnam County Community Foundation’s Youth Philanthropy Committee is hosting the 12th-annual Youth Philanthropy Night at Almost Home.

On Wednesday, March 4 from 5 to 9 p.m., committee members will help serve meals, with all tips and donations going toward the Putnam County Youth Philanthropy Endowment, which provides grant funding for local charitable initiatives.

For those unable to attend but who still wish to support this effort, donations to the endowment may be made online at www.pcfoundation.org, or by mail to and in the Putnam County Community Foundation office, located at 2 S. Jackson St., Greencastle.

The Putnam County Youth Philanthropy Committee is comprised of students from each of the county’s four high schools who exhibit leadership and a desire to serve.

Members of the 2020-21 Youth Philanthropy Committee are Gayle Baugh, Garrison Bock, Aubree Branigan, Grace Elmore, Evan Steffy, Kinzie Wilson, Jacob Beadles, Alaina Fritz, Catherine Hodge, Paige Kaiser, Jayden Simpson, Grace Timm and Ben Wilkerson.

Since its introduction in 2006, the Youth Philanthropy Committee has provided over $37,000 in funding for over 70 youth-led projects in Putnam County.
