DePauw welcomes USAF Academy wind ensemble Tuesday

The Academy Winds of the United States Air Force Academy Band will perform in Thompson Recital Hall of the Green Center for the Performing Arts at DePauw University at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The concert is free and open to the public.

The United States Air Force Academy Band’s Academy Winds ensemble will perform a free concert in Thompson Recital Hall of the Green Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert is free and open to the public, and no ticket is required.

One of nine performing ensembles within the Academy Band, Academy Winds is comprised of six professional active-duty airman musicians. This versatile group presents a unique variety of musical styles, from traditional folk to patriotic favorites.

Academy Winds supports the Academy Band’s mission to advance the United States Air Force Academy and global air force missions by providing professional music products and services for official military, recruiting and community relations events worldwide.

Currently under the command of Lt. Col. Daniel L. Price, the United States Air Force Academy Band has used the power of music to honor our nation’s heroes, inspire Air Force personnel and the nation they serve, produce innovative musical programs and communicate Air Force excellence to millions around the world.

All United States Air Force Academy Band performances are presented on behalf of Lt. Gen. Jay B. Silveria, superintendent of the academy.
