Three evenings of Jazz at the Duck are set for the next three Thursdays at The Fluttering Duck inside The Inn at DePauw.

Jazz at the Duck takes place on Thursday evenings while DePauw University is in session from 8:30-10:30 p.m.

Steve Snyder’s Prime Vintage Trio will kick off the month with a performance on March 5.

Snyder’s group incorporates pop and funk from the ’60s and ’70s as well as the Great American Songbook to create a broad repertoire of pieces, all performed with the rich warm sound of a jazz organ trio.

The group features Snyder on organ, Joel Tucker on guitar and Kenny Phelps on drums.

The March 12 event will feature DePauw University Jazz Combos.

Two groups of current students will be performing. Jazz fans are invited to come see what the students have been cooking up this semester.

On March 19, internationally-known vibraphonist Rusty Burge will visit DePauw to play one night at the Duck.

Burge is a longtime faculty member at the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and has played all over the world. Snyder on organ and Phelps on drums round out what should be an exciting night of jazz vibraphone music.

On March 26, Jazz at The Duck will be on spring break, along with the rest of campus.

The Fluttering Duck is located inside The Inn at DePauw at 2 W. Seminary St., Greencastle.
