Ag Day canceled over coronavirus concerns

Ag Day festivities have been canceled for Saturday, March 14.

Ag Day Coordinator Heather Poynter made the announcement Thursday afternoon.

Between the Ag Day Breakfast program and Mini Farm Fest, the event usually draws several hundred people to the Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building.

The event normally features the annual naming of the two Putnam County Ag Hall of Fame awards — the Farmer/Farm Family of the Year and the Friend of the Farmer.

It is unclear at this time when honors will be awarded.
