MetroNet has COVID-19 relief plan for families, business customers

Monday, March 30, 2020

MetroNet recently announced a COVID-19 relief plan that will help residential and business customers during a time when they need reliable internet more than ever.

As demands for faster connections and more bandwidth have increased due to an influx of customers working from home and students learning online, its fiber-optic network is rising to the challenge.

MetroNet is offering a no-obligation Speedboost for their customers free for the next 50 days, which allows them to increase to the next level of speed. In addition, new customers who have students in the home can take advantage of free 500 MBPS speeds so students can access school materials online seamlessly.

The company is also waiving all installation fees for new residential customers, while continuing to provide unlimited internet service with no data caps. Customers can unlock a $100 referral fee for any new customer they refer by visiting their MetroNet customer portal to register them.

Business customers can take advantage of free remote phone system capabilities to enable companies to continue running seamlessly while teams transition to working from home. MetroNet’s hospital, health care and school customers also receive access to free internet service upgrades, and new health care sites can access free internet.

MetroNet is also following CDC guidelines and enhancing sanitization practices, while continuing to build and install fiber optic internet in their markets.

In an effort to support local restaurants, MetroNet is also sponsoring daily lunch carry-out for its associates.
