The Putnam County Hospice and Palliative Care Association (PCHPCA) recently announced its board of directors and members for 2020.

The all-volunteer board has members representing health care providers, extended care facilities, funeral homes, the faith community, hospice providers, caregivers and others committed to the PCHPCA mission.

Officers include President Lisa Miller, Vice President Charity Pankratz, Secretary J Miranda and Treasurer John Savage.

Board members include Robert Allen, Jinsie Bingham, Paul Champion, Tasheena Duncan, Susan Gick, Tammy Hunter, Jared Jernagan, Lana Nascimbene, Brand Selvia, Jeannie Stinson-McLean and Jacob Whitaker.

Elaine Peck joined the PCHPCA as its director in November of 2019.

The PCHPCA is a nonprofit, charitable organization that has joined national, state and community efforts to increase the quality of the end-of-life experience for patients, loved ones, caregivers and the health-care community in Putnam County.

The organization seeks to accomplish two things. First, it seeks to increase utilization of hospice and palliative care services in Putnam County. Second, it strives to promote advance care planning conversations in the county.

The PCHPCA does not charge for services, and relies on charitable grants and donations to support its work.

Further questions about the association and its mission may be directed to Peck at epeck@pchosp.org.
