State Road 243 will close April 13 in Putnam County

PUTNAMVILLE – The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a bridge rehabilitation project will close State Road 243 on or after Monday, April 13 just north of Interstate 70.

The roadway is scheduled to reopen on Monday, July 13.

The detour follows I-70 to U.S. 231 to U.S. 40 and back.

The project was awarded to CLR Construction for $493,051. The work will rehabilitate the bridge over Rocky Fork Creek, located less than a half-mile north of I-70.
