Robert S. Atkins I

Robert S. Atkins I, 79, of Cloverdale, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

He was born April 12, 1941 in Raleigh, W.V., to the late Charles and Lois (Hendricks)Atkins.

He married Kay (Price) Atkins July 17, 1971, and she survives.

Robert was a great husband, father, grandfather, and man. He was painter in the Local #47 for more than 40 years and served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Robert S. Atkins II and his wife Debra and Katherine Denise Hatfield and husband Brian; five grandchildren, Robert Atkins III, Trey Atkins-Combs, Samantha Hatfield, Candy Redman and Kegan Knust; and four great-grandchildren, Rosalynn Atkins, Jagger Means, KK Knust and Jasmine Rodman.

He is also survived by his six sisters-in-law and six brothers-in-law.

In addition to his father, Charles Atkins, he was preceded in death by his brothers, JW Atkins and Raymond Atkins.
