Ruth Eleanor Greve

Ruth Eleanor Greve, 99, of Greencastle passed away Friday, April 24, 2020, at Mill Pond Health Campus.

Ruth was born in Russellville on March 5, 1921, the daughter of Warren and Laura Belle (Graham) Williams.

She was a graduate of Russellville High School. She attended business college in Indianapolis.

She married the love of her life, Raymond J. Greve, on Sept. 23, 1943 and enjoyed 64 years of their life together until his death in 2007.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Terrie Colosino; and two sisters, Virginia McGaughey and Helen Harwood.

Mrs. Greve was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, Windy Hill LGA, Lady Elks and Tri Kappa Sorority. She worked for over 20 years as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She enjoyed golf, bridge, their Venice, Fla. home and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her three children, Cindy Covert (Jim) of Greenwood, Jill Vietor of Plainfield and Joan Earl (Bill) of Greencastle; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services will be held at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home.
