Sunday is first of four 2020 Free Fishing Days in Indiana

Thursday, April 30, 2020

Apparently Hoosiers don’t need to social distance themselves from bass, bluegills and crappie.

Because on Sunday, May 3, all Indiana residents -- regardless of age -- may fish without a license in any of the state's public waters on the first "Free Fishing Day" for 2020.

In addition to Sunday, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources has announced three additional Free Fishing Days for 2020 – June 6, July 7 and Sept. 26.

All other fishing rules and regulations still apply.

Children ages 17 and younger do not need a license on any day of the year.
