Tear Down The Wall

Monday, May 4, 2020
Taking a major step forward with DePauw University's South Quad project, workers from Messer Construction are busy tearing down Hogate Hall near the southwest corner of Locust and Olive streets Monday morning. Hogate Hall was built in 1968 and could house 140 first-year students. A new first-year dorm is being completed nearby.

  • What a complete waste of resources. A lot of social initiatives could have been funded with this project not to mention the environmental impact and non sustainability aspects it represents. Was there even a comprehensive environmental impact audit done?
