County Jail

Seven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Thursday

• At 4:33 a.m. Samantha Q. Davis, 19, Cloverdale, was booked in for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, trafficking with an inmate and possession of a controlled substance.

Wednesday

• At 11:39 p.m. Crystal L. Finchum, 32, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for dealing in methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

Tuesday

• At 8:55 p.m. Danny W. Hensley, 46, Bainbridge, was taken into custody for resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

• At 3:02 p.m. Bruce A. Sims, 58, Clayton, was lodged at the jail for criminal trespass, theft and carrying a handgun without a license.

• At 4:36 a.m. Shane M. Ronan, 33, Greencastle, was taken into custody for battery resulting in serious bodily injury.

• At 4:36 a.m. Jeslyn S. Ronan, 30, Greencastle, was housed at the jail for battery.

Monday

• At 8:41 p.m. Tawnya J. Stuck, 55, Reelsville, was booked in for battery and disorderly conduct.

City Police

Two arrests were reported recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 5 p.m. Tuesday, Andre Giden, 43, Indianapolis, was arrested by Sgt. Ed Wilson at a Fairview Street residence.

Charged with battery with bodily injury, Giden was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Giden was also arrested on a pair of Putnam County warrants, one for residential entry/breaking and entering and another for maintaining a common nuisance as well as dealing in and possession of a controlled substance.

While at the Fairview Street address, police discovered another person who was wanted on a warrant and arrested Amber Coffman, 31, Quincy.

Arrested on a warrant for nonsupport of dependent children, Coffman was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Sheriff’s Department

Putnam County sheriff’s deputies investigated one recent property-damage crash.

• At 7:37 a.m. on Monday, Leesa A. Bryan, 51, Greencastle, was southbound on County Road 600 West in a 2015 Ford F-150 when she hit a dog that had entered the roadway.

Deputy Brian Helmer estimated damage at $2,500-$5,000.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one recent dispatch:

• At 7:53 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 1216 S. Bloomington St. to investigate a hot smell. Firefighters arrived at 7:58 and found that a plastic cover was covering part of an HVAC system. GFD turned the power off and went back into service at 8:12 p.m.

Additionally, GFD performed four medical assists and had one disregard prior around this dispatch.
