Lifespring to host drive-in baccalaureate service for graduates

Saturday, May 9, 2020

BAINBRIDGE - Lifespring Church will host a drive-in Senior Service to honor members of the class of 2020 at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 17.

With COVID-19 making many of the events associated with senior year impossible, organizers wanted to do something special for these graduates by not canceling their traditional baccalaureate service.

“We’re just giving them another opportunity,” Youth Pastor Brian Harris said. “They do the baccalaureate service without fail. I didn’t want to cancel this.”

Lifespring, located at 1700 W. U.S. 36, Bainbridge, just east of the U.S. 231 junction, has been using an FM transmitter to do services for a few weeks. Now they plan to use it to honor the seniors.

“We are excited to Host this Senior Service to honor all the graduates,” Harris said. “If you are a graduate, parent of a graduate, family member or friend of a graduate this service is for you. Come enjoy a service in our parking lot.

Attendees need to simply find a spot in the parking lot, tune the radio to 97.3 and listen to special messages from Pastor Tommy Sandefer (senior pastor at Lifespring Church), Pastor Harris, Ella Gilbert (North Putnam graduating senior) and Nikki Ash (North Putnam FCA Leader).
