Richard Eugene McCloud

Richard Eugene McCloud, 67, of Roachdale, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 9, 2020.

He was born on April 20, 1953 to the late Raymond H. and Doris J. (McCloud) McCloud Sr. in Greencastle.

Richard was a 1971 graduate of North Putnam High School.

He was an owner/operator truck driver for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed sitting on his porch, eating ice cream, fishing, gardening and tinkering in the garage.

He never knew a stranger and was always willing to help in any way he could. He will be greatly missed.

Richard is survived by his children, Cody (Lisa) McCloud of Florida and Jennifer (Dan) Brandeberry of Crawfordsville; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings Frank, Marilyn Walker, Luetta Long, Raymond Jr., Homer, Debbie Sillery, Bill and Ron; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Doug McCloud.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12 at Roachdale Christian Church, 1 N. Walnut St., Roachdale, with Pastor Phil Barns officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from noon-2 p.m. at the church on Tuesday. Social distancing is expected to be followed. Burial will follow in Roachdale Cemetery.

Memorials in Richard’s memory may be made to American Heart Association, American Parkinson’s Disease Association and the Alzheimer’s Association.
