PLAINFIELD – Putnam County drivers are advised that lane restrictions on State Road 267 at the Interstate 70 interchange will begin Wednesday, May 13 and continue over the next few days, the Indiana Department of Transportation has announced.

Brief closures for the contractor to pull the wires for the traffic signals are expected. Work will take place between 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Milestone Contractors was awarded the $43.9 million project that will rebuild the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 from a half-mile west of SR 267 to Ronald Reagan Parkway and patch the interstate from just west of SR 267 to the Monrovia exit at SR 39.

The westbound lanes will be rebuilt this year with the eastbound lanes construction occurring in 2021.

The project is scheduled for completion in early summer of 2022.
