Melba Lavern Chadd, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Lynhurst Healthcare in Indianapolis.

She was born Dec. 21, 1938 in Greencastle to Monte Franklin Chadd and Dorthy (VanVactor) Chadd.

Survivors include her brother Richard Chadd (Lori) of Crawfordsville; sisters Naomi Miller of Monrovia and Ruth Stultz (George) of St. Augustine, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Don Chadd, Norma Harton, Mary Ann Jones, Ronald Chadd and Jim Chadd.

The Reverend Shan Rutherford will conduct a graveside service on Saturday, June 13 at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery, 2181 S. CR 50 West, Greencastle, IN 46135.
