ROACHDALE -- Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire on State Road 236 just west of U.S. 231 late Friday night.

Few details were available as of shortly before midnight though a photograph from the scene indicated major loss to the structure.

Story will be updated when more details become available.

  • "Story will be updated when more details become available"--this means when the reporters come to work on Monday.

  • Don. A reporter can do nothing until information is provided to them. Not all police, fire etc always have their information ready for a few days. This applies during the week also and not just on weekends.

  • Nit--I guess you have never heard about a reporter driving to the "hot spot" and asking questions.

  • Exactly, Don. Reporters should be asking questions, not waiting for news to come to them. And as far as I can tell, there is no house just west of 231 on 236.
