Andrew James ‘AJ’ Hamm

Andrew James “AJ” Hamm, 38, of Noblesville, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

Born Jan. 28, 1982 in Greencastle, he was the son of Steven James Hamm and Jo Ellen and Bruce Cook.

He was a 2001 graduate of Greencastle High School and attended Vincennes University, majoring in fire science.

AJ belonged to the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and was a member of the Madison Township Fire Department.

AJ had worked at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and Micronutrients in Indianapolis.

He loved hunting, fishing, wood carving and drawing. He enjoyed nature and family gatherings.

AJ is survived by a son, Logan Hamm and Logan’s mother, Nicole Douglass; his parents, Jo Ellen and Bruce Cook; sisters Marli (Matt) Emenhiser and Kyla (Jason) Penrod; brothers Kevin (Chelsea) Cook and Kelcy (Brittaney) Cook; two nieces; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven James Hamm, and grandparents William and Dolores Earl, Jim and Wanda Hamm and Virgil and Wanda Cook.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21 at the Forest Hill Cemetery with inurnment to follow.
