UPDATE: Wednesday GCSC meeting to be streamed on Youtube

Tuesday, July 14, 2020

With a highly-anticipated meeting set Wednesday to determine the reopening plan for schools, Greencastle Community Schools has made a draft of the reopening plan available on its website.

The administration announced later on Tuesday the meeting will also be available to stream live on its Youtube channel.

Plainly visible on the main page of www.greencastle.k12.in.us is a notice of the special school board meeting with a link to the draft of the GSCS reopening plan.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at Parker Auditorium in McAnally Center, next to Greencastle High School. The meeting was moved from the usual location at GCSC Central Office to allow for social distancing even as the board anticipated a higher turnout than usual.

In addition to making the plan available, the corporation is also planning to make the meeting available by its Youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7Gh-e8eeEQYwkiH63n5vuQ.

North Putnam and South Putnam schools have already approved their reopening plans, which will feature a return to in-person learning with masks recommended in most circumstances.

Cloverdale Schools approved a similar plan on Monday. A story will be posted later with more details regarding the Cloverdale plan.
