Linda Kay Romas, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2020.

Linda was born on Sept. 14, 1939, in Clay County, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Lechner) Hauser.

She graduated from Bowling Green High School with the class of 1957.

Following high school Linda worked for Hulman and Company. She worked as a bookkeeper and in the scale house at H & H Ready Mix in Mansfield. Later she worked as a nurse’s aid at several area nursing homes and at Clay County Hospital. She also worked as a cook at Monnett and Bray’s Cafeteria as well as several nursing homes.

Linda enjoyed playing euchre, rook and spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Elizabeth Hauser, sisters Rosiland Schopmeyer and Mary Lou Schopmeyer, brother Glenroie Hauser and granddaughter Rachel Romas.

She is survived by her children, Cliff Romas and wife Lori of Brazil, Randy Romas of Brazil, Holly Romas of Terre Haute and Hope Romas Dalton and husband Brett of Brazil; grandchildren Amanda Twombly (Dale), Tanner Brown (Ashley), Robert Ray “Robby” Romas and Jacob Dalton; great-grandchildren Hugh Twombly and Adelaide Twombly; sister-in-law Lillian Hauser; cousins Kenny Hauser (Eleanor) and Martha Neville; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at Poland Zion Cemetery on Friday, July 24 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Lee Reberger officiating.
