North Putnam shuts down on-campus activities; administrators to meet with health officials

On Sunday, North Putnam Jr.-Sr. High School put a notice on social media indicating the school is suspending all of its on-campus activities for Monday and Tuesday. The specific reason for the suspension is unknown.

The message reads:

"Out of an abundance of caution we are suspending all on campus activities, workouts and practices Monday (July 20) and Tuesday (July 21). Our athletic return to play protocol has been followed diligently. All coaches and staff have done an excellent job.

"However, we are suspending Monday and Tuesday activities until the administration has time to meet with the health department and make a determination for the safety of everyone going forward.

"Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout this process! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your coach or Athletic Director, Roger Busch."
